The human body wasn’t meant to sit for hours on end.  Standing not only allows the body to circulate blood and oxygen while regulating blood pressure, but it increases the ability to focus while combating fatigue. 

Of course your don't want to stand all day, but most recommendations and studies say we need to more more to escape  the dangers of too much sitting. The latest consensus statement from the British Journal of Sports Medicine suggests that standing on your feet for four hours each day is optimal. 

It says in the British Journal of Sports Medicine outlines what we keep hearing about prolonged sitting, and its longterm negative health effects. Sitting saps energy, and slows metabolism.
